AMD-880 Mono Audio Distribution Amplifier ADA

The AMD-880 mono audio distribution amplifier is designed to meet the most demanding requirements of broadcast facilities, television post-production, and recording studios. This excellent amplifier provides one high-performance channel with eight balanced outputs. Outputs can be customized to low (66 ohms) or 600 ohms impedance. Excellent output isolation and interchannel crosstalk are ensured by the use of individual drivers for each output.

The input is over-voltage protected up to 120 Volts AC or DC. The transformerless, balanced input is normally bridging, but can be terminated by installing a suitable resistor. Unbalanced input is converted to balanced output.

The AMD-880's exceptional performance features include 100 dB S/N ratio, flat frequency response, carefully controlled roll-off and very low distortion, thus ensuring a virtually transparent transmission path.

ASD-880 Lo Z stereo audio distribution amplifier

The ASD-880 stereo audio distribution amplifier is designed to meet the most demanding requirements of broadcast facilities, television post-production, and recording studios. This excellent amplifier provides two high performance channels with four balanced outputs per channel. Outputs can be customized to low (66 Ohm), as per AES recommendation 1708 (I-3), or 600 Ohm impedance. Future impedance modifications are also possible, should requirements change. Excellent output isolation and interchannel crosstalk is assured by the use of individual drivers for each output.

UDA-680 Utility VDA

The latest generation of Leitch video distribution amplifiers, the UDA-680, exemplifies the ongoing commitment by Leitch as a world leader in video DAs. The UDA-680 fulfils the requirements for a high performance, low cost video amplifier for general purpose distribution of composite, component, and subcarrier NTSC, SECAM, and PAL signals. This DA is compatible with both 1RU and 2RU FR-680 Series of Mounting Frames, as well as all VDA-680 Series of amplifiers. Providing 8 outputs, the UDA-680 delivers outstanding output density and unmatched low cost per output. A 100 MHz bandwidth, low distortion, excellent frequency response, and a wide gain range make the UDA-680 suitable for all current analog composite/component and analog HDTV video installations.

The UDA-680 is a low cost 1-input, 8-output Video Distribution Amplifier ideal amplifier for monitoring and other distribution requirements where features such as differential input, cable equalization, or clamping are not required. It can alos be used for subcarrier distribution. Despite its low cost, frequency response and linearity are excellent.

VDA-683 Differential Input VDA

The VDA-683 is a general-purpose distribution amplifier with excellent linearity and gain stability for solving common mode errors. It can handle anything from nominally 0.7Vp-p non-composite video to 2Vp-p subcarrier. Low power consumption and high temperature stability make this a very reliable, inexpensive distribution amplifier for analog composite/component and analog HDTV installations.

The VDA-683 provides a differential input when equalization and clamping are not required. Although normally used as a unity gain amplifier, a variable gain control on the module front edge with a range from -3dB to +3dB allows compensation for non-standard input levels or line losses.

The VDA-683 is a high performance, high reliability, cost efficient general purpose analog video distribution amplifier. This DA features a differential input, eight outputs, gain adjustment with a range of -3 dB to +3 dB and high frequency response adjustment on the front edge of the board. Composite and component analog NTSC, PAL, SECAM signals, with sync or without sync, and subcarrier signals can be amplified with the VDA-683.

VEA-680 Video Equalizing Amplifier

The VEA680 module is a one-input (looping differential), eight-outputs non-clamping Video Equalizing Amplifier. When distributing video signals through medium and large facilities, the VEA-680 will provide hum removal and equalization for long cable runs of up to 1000 ft. Suitable for use in analog component/composite and analog HDTV signal distribution.

1) Differential Input

The amplifer's differential input in capable of accepting up to 8 Vp-p of common mode hum and attenuating it by more than 60 dB

2) Operational Controls

As shipped from the factory, all VEA-680 modules are matched in all parameters. This includes response, delay and gain. Thus, when the operational controls are adjusted for a particular location in your plant, the only feature unique to that location are the adjustment settings of the GAIN and Equalize potentiometers.

3) Delay Adjustment

A DELAY adjustment on the module provides approximately 6° of phasing range at 3.58 MHz while inducing negligible change of the frequency response in the amplifier. Although this control is normally adjusted at the factory to match the delay of all VEA-680 amplifiers, it can also be used in the field to achieve fine timing adjustments within a system. It should be noted, however, that the use of this control in this fashion will compromise the instant interchangeability of modules.

4) Hum Null Adjustment

Since 'common mode hum' is occasionally not exactly balanced in amplitude between the inner conductor and the shield of the coaxial input cable, an improvement in hum rejection can sometimes be acheived by adjusting this control. As in the case of the DELAY adjustment, changing the HUM NULL adjustment for a particular situation will compromise the module interchangeability.
